He shares a little of his sea going adventures. Despite his bragging on himself, Fibber is surprised when Miss Cartright visits to interview him. Billy Mills plays, Smile Right Back at the Sun.
Miss Cartright is impressed with the furnishings in the McGee home, and Fibber plays up his importance, and the value of his belongings. Doc Gamble is on hand for a quick pun and medical advice. Harlowe Wilcox has the perfect set up for his commercial, with all the furniture that the McGee’s have that can put his product to good use.
The interview has Fibber eager to give the grand tour of all he owns, inflating the worth of it all. Teeny enters and talks about her injury to her knee hat. Huh? Just listen, and it’ll make sense. She also talks more about her school life. The Kingsmen sing, Make Mine Country Style.
Wallace Wimple has joined the fun, and brags to Miss Cartright about his bird book. Mayor Latrivia seems to know Miss Cartright, brings news of Sweetie Face to a worried Wallace, then gets the McGee’s confused over a fire hose. You know, the things firemen wear on their feet. The truth comes out about the reason for the interview, and the listener probably had it out long before Fibber did. She’s a tax assessor.
