A group of jailbirds plan a prison break. Once on the outside, they don’t waste time getting back to work in their old ways. Blackie has a personal reason to nab the prisoners. He was responsible for putting the ringleader behind bars, and wants to keep him there. The key to recapturing them seems to be in solving the mystery of how they escaped.
