A former gunfighter had given his revolver to Matt, and for years has made a good name for himself. Is he giving it all up, and his life with his wife and young son? Who is the two gunned stranger who has ridden into town, and is our family man in any shape to return to his old profession?

Matt takes a chance, and gives back the gun, but the Long Branch is buzzing as Matt approaches the gunman. Will he take Matt’s hint and leave town? Matt’s a little too Wiley for the dirty tricks of the outlaw, and hauls him in on charges of murder, based on a wanted poster. Matt’s assurance of safety to the rancher’s wife are cut short when Chester reports a jail break.

The manhunt is on as Matt rushes after Largo with Chester. Will they reach him before he can get to the rancher? Will he hold his wife hostage? Matt applies a little six-gun justice as the matter comes to a head, and makes sure the rancher’s wife isn’t kidnapped.
