At insurance investigation he’s an expert. At filling out his expense report, he’s an absolute genius.
Johnny Dollar is on the track of a missing girl. The search begins on the streets of Chicago. When Johnny meets a dame, he notices that he’s being followed, but are they following him, or her? The 19-year-old gal turns up the victim of a gangland shooting, and is reported to be the girlfriend of one of the local mob bosses, and unfortunately for Johnny’s insurance company, she is the one they have to pay out on now that she’s dead.
Was her shooting a setup? Johny is upset, and feeling used. To fight back, Johnny goes after the killer, and with the help of Bonnie’s roommate to act as bait, a trap is set. Soon he is waste deep in mobsters, and fist fights ensue.
There are still some loose ends to tie up, which Johnny explains as he wraps up his expense report, and says his goodbyes.
