Lum’s plan to cause a rift in the lady’s group has failed. Today he and Abner discuss the upcoming election. Squire enters, and the guys discuss the election and voting progress. He assures Lum and Abner that every man in the county has stuffed the ballot box in their favor. Somehow, I doubt that.
Squire goes on to talk shop about how the civic offices ought to conduct business after the election is done. The manly bubble is burst when grandpap phones in with the election results, the women have won every slot in the ballot.
