The show opens to a scene of the murder of a judge. When Casey, and the cops investigate, the prime suspect is a criminal who has vowed revenge on those who put him behind bars, but when he is locked up, the murders continue. The news comes out as Ann Williams, and Casey share the details in the Blue Note with Ethelbert.
Who is the killer? If the murders aren’t for revenge, might this be the work of a psychopath? Ride along with Casey as he tracks down the clues, interviews the players, and shakes the bushes to put things together. The murders continue so Ann, and Casey need to act fast to bring down the strangler.
Casey closes in, and in a dramatic fist fight scene, he brings the strangler down.
PS: This almost reminds me of a story featured in the Shadow. A condemned killer vows revenge on the judge, and legal people who sent him to the chair, and though dead, his threat seemed to be carried out. Of course, in that episode the actual killer was an accomplice of the dead criminal, but in Casey’s story things are even stranger than that.
