Family Theater – God and a Red Scooter. ep10, 470417

Family Theater CD Front

Eddie is a little boy who wants a red Scooter. Rolling back the clock, we find His parents discussing their land, and vineyard. It’ll take three years to build up their vineyard to produce a good crop. Sleepless nights are spent poring over whether the right decisions have been made. Jeans soon begins to worry that Ed is not getting enough sleep. Will they ever achieve their dreams of sending all their kids to college, and retiring in peace? With the harvest looking so good, is there anything that might go wrong to ruin it?

Despite the best man-made plans, the weather comes and goes at the hand of God. Rain is good for crops, but not when it comes at the wrong time. Ed sees his hard work and planning come to nothing. The frustrations are enough to cause him to lose hope. Might Ed have more than just his grapes to worry about? He’s been so wrapped up in his work, he hasn’t noticed that his wife has her own health problems.

Ed is determined to get her the best doctors he can, but all she asks of him is to pray for her. Will the matter finally be what it takes to cause him to be more patient, and get rest? Will he actually do what she asks, and pray? He might be able to learn something about prayers from his young son Eddie.

God answers prayers, but what happens when his answer is no? Has Ed learned his lessons about getting rest, trusting in God, and prayer? Even when an answer is no, it is still helpful to be persistent in asking.
