Episodes of the serial are hit and miss, and there seems to be at least one missing since our last episode. Previously the Black Cat had gotten away by jumping from the 21st floor of a high-rise building.
At the end of the preceding episode, Tom had jumped out of the building after the Black Cat. A desperate measure? Or a calculated move to put an end to the reign of crime?
Tom’s partners Wrangler, and Pecos worry that Tom is dead, but no sign of him is found on the ground at the base of the skyscraper. Where did he go? How did he survive? As they wonder over the event, Tom appears, and he tells how he discovered how the Black Cat carried out his mysterious crimes, and get aways.
The mystery is solved, but a new adventure awaits our heroes back in the West. Stay tuned for a hint of what they are going home to as border smugglers do their worst.
