Joan Banks as Jane, and Marie Wilson as Irma.
The two gals talk about being with family for Christmas. Though she misses her family, Irma takes comfort in knowing her friends will be there for her at her Christmas Eve party.

Jane has to bow out, because she already had plans for going to Richard’s party. Irma’s spirits sink when one by one, her friends tell her they have other plans. The final straw to break Irma’s back comes when even Al dumps her. He has a good reason; he actually has a job to go to.

In her worst spirits, Irma leaves and takes a walk. Beginning with Jane, all Irma’s friends have a change of heart and give up their plans for Irma. Instead of a surprise party from Irma, they decide to throw one for her. The trouble is, Irma has left, and nobody knows exactly where she went.

Al tries to get a tree from who else… Joe. The rest of the gang get the place decorated. While Irma mopes, and wanders the streets, she joins some Carolers, and helps out a bum. The friends are so worried, they send the cops out to find Irma. She’s worried herself about being picked up by the cops, but has a nice surprise when she gets home.
