Jimmy is the proprietor of a small café who tells about the beginnings between a young couple.
A stranger drifts into town and meets Louise. The introvert man begins opening up who turns out to be quite the stock trader. Known for the number of keys on his key ring, he slowly gives each away as he decides to stop away, turning over a new leaf in life.
Back in the café, Joel continues telling Louise about his past life.After going from a wealthy lifestyle, to that of a bum, Joel is feeling bad about having to depend on Louise for breakfast. After a leg up receiving a few odd job, Joel is feeling better about himself and looking towards that seven keys to open the doors he once had access to. He is soon made manager over a building project. Can he sell the other businessmen in town to invest in growing their community?
Soon there are 500 new housing units going in, and Joel has little time for Louise.She soon sees that he’s not interested in helping veterans in need of homes, but the money it takes to return to Wall Street.When Joel learns the land developer is about to abscond with the money without developing anything, will he have a change of heart and stay?Will he exchange the keys of worldly success, for the keys of the kingdom treasure of happiness?
