When a call about a man found strangled with his own neck tie comes in, we find Joe Friday on the job in the Homicide Department. Joe Friday, and partner Frank Smith combs the crime scene for clues. A suspect is located, the wife of the murdered man is informed, but there’s not really any solid evidence on who committed the crime. The cops keep questioning people to make sure they are covering all their bases, and to track down every lead.
All the players have been interviewed, and a suspect is identified. By now, it’s just a matter of double-checking facts, and the cops take their man down.
