An inventor, George Aldrin, has created a mechanical man, and Lamonte Cranston is in the audience to watch the demonstration. Henry the robot responds to mental commands from the inventor, and even a few spoken orders from the audience. Henry is perfectly harmless, but the audience becomes fearful, and rightly so when the demonstration goes wrong.
Suddenly the robot is on a rampage, and Lamonte goes after him with Margot. The wild pursuit of the robot results in a car crash, and Lomonte wakes up the next day to learn of the fatalities of the previous day. Is Margot Lane, OK? Somehow, she finds herself again facing the mechanical man.
George seems bent on proving how delicate his robot can be, but the robot suddenly shows that he has a brain, and rebels against George. Oh, the horror! Machines are such monsters, and turn on their human makers! Good thing the Shadow finally swoops in to rescue Margot.
PS: Boy, I’m sure glad my Retrobots that I’ve created never turn on me. That would just be lkmqe’rkjg
