When Clark and Lois first went to Maryville to investigate the explosion that rocked the Doll factory, nothing out of the usual was expected, but with all step closer, strange events have gone down. Hans Holbein, the factory owner is a racketeer and has been using the place as a front.
Today a couple of his thug’s plot to kill Clark, and keep him from getting too close. An accident is staged, and the kidnapped Lois Lane is to be put in harm’s way when the explosives go off. Meanwhile, Superman has been snooping around and finds weird evidence that go against the reports of the explosions. Strange metal calendars are found inside the dolls. What does it mean? Clark knows, and takes his suspicions to Perry White. A plot of sabotage is discovered.
As Clark and Perry make their own plans to trap Hans, the mobster is making his plans to create another explosion that will kill Lois. Will Superman return in time to rescue her? Time is drawing down to only seconds before the fatal explosion.
