It’s evening in an upscale house as a shabbily dressed man relaxes, when unexpectedly for him, he is struck dead by a visitor with a silver candlestick. Later in Mr. Keen’s office, Mrs. Jennings reports her husband has gone missing since yesterday. She tells a story of something that had unnerved her husband just before his disappearance.

Mr. Keen and Mike Clancey head out to investigate on the scene, and already Mr. Keen has doubts about what he’ll find. Though the couple who answer the door claim there have been no visitors, a bloodstain is spotted, and Mr. Keen looks for other clues outside to find his answers. A body is found, shots ring out, and the mystery takes on a new urgency knowing the killer is close by.

The cops are called to report the crime, and everybody in the house is now a suspect. Who did it?

When Mr. Keen and Mike Clancey go back to report the murder to Mrs. Jenning, they overhear an argument in progress. What’s that all about? More suspicious behavior? Mike goes to do some footwork for Mr. Keen while the great investigator goes to talk with the elusive aunt. I think he’s beginning to figure this mystery out. It’s just a matter of getting to the motive, and in gathering some solid evidence.

What do you think? Listen in to the convoluted clues, and get the facts along with Mr. Keen as he exposes the truth that’s all about love, revenge, and inheritance.
