Assigned to robbery detail with a ruthless fiend roaming the streets, Joe Friday is determined to bring him down.

A man who has just finished a ten year prison sentence, thanks to Joe Friday and Ben Romero, approaches them to say that he’s going straight. Friday is skeptical, but admits that some men actually do learn their lesson by their time in jail. With the chit chat done, Joe and Ben hit the streets to investigate, Joe provides voice over amid the drama. Witnesses describe being pulled over by a car with police light and siren, then being brutally beaten and robbed. The lesson to be learned is to ask for proper identification from anyone claiming to be a cop.

The fake cop has also been terrorizing drugstores and other shops. The crimes have been so dramatic that the captain wants to work nonstop, until they catch this guy. A classic dramatic movie style dragnet kicks off, with police sirens blaring, and cops combing the city.

There’s a tip on the car the crook is using, and things get more serious when the last victim has died. The cops are getting closer and closer, but the slippery snake sneaks out of their grasp. An unexpected source comes on the scene who is key to bringing justice. A case of tough love.

Still, you won’t want to miss the dramatic end, complete with car chases, gunplay, and finally cornering the bad guy in one of those suspenseful, “You’re not taking me alive!” Kind of moments.
