After an accident with the hurricaine horse, sheriff Mike has been hurt. He makes an appeal to Tom to let him own the horse, and try to tame him. Tom thinks the horse is a killer, and that Mike may be too old to be able to control the critter.
Meanwhile, at the penny arcade, Wimpering Jones talks with his henchmen.
We find the horse belongs to Jones, and due to a mistake it fell into the hands of Tom Mix. We also find that Buck is back, and willing to gamble with Jones in hopes of paying off his debts. He’s desperate to do anything to keep his dad from finding out about his entrapment by Wimpering Jones.
Back at the TMBar ranch, Tom phones a real life Straightshooter to see if Mike will be permitted to tame the hurricaine horse, or if Tom will get his way. How will the girl decide? Regardless, we learn that the horse has just been stolen, and is missing!
