Returning to the Daily planet affter cracking the big story at Bridger Field, Clark gets his next story in the office of Perry White. Buffalo Hills is a project that has been worked on for the past five years, carving a monument in the face of a granite cliff. The grand opening ceremony is about to take place, but it’s being threatened by a gangster who wants to hatch his own scheme.
Clark is assigned to travel with a freelance photo journalist who claims to be something of an amateur Sherlock holmes. The freelance photographer, Asa Hatch, tells why he believes he is the target for murder. When a rifle shot rings out, it’s just the distracgtion needed for Superman to spring into action and fly over the city, in search of the gunman. The shooter is found, and the Man of Steel proves his ability to have bullets bounce off him, but the gunman isn’t so lucky. What can Superman learn from the diing sniper?
Back in the office of the Daily Planet, Clar tells all he knows. Who are Florres and Carson? Clark and Asa will surely find out more as they head out to Boulder City in the next exciting adventure.
