The human mind is like a cave, and Doctor Daniel Danfield takes it upon himself to shed light on its inner workings.

Humphrey is a man who is impressed with the notorious skill of Doc Danfield to expose criminals. His wife is wearing her famous diamond pendant, and Humphrey is worried over the valueables. dan’s secretary, Rusty Fairfax points out a few items of interest involving love that seems to go unnoticed by her boss. The observant doctor may be a natural at crime, but he can’t seem to pick up on Rusty’s affection towards him.

The evening of socializing, hobnobbing, and elbow rubbing is all to celebrate the engagement between Hazel and a European count. Ray the gardener is Hazel’s true love, a detail that doesn’t make mama happy at all since Ray is just their lowly gardener. Something terrible happens, the diamond pendant is stolen. Imagine that. And it’s disappearance is the thing to tip the delicate boat of Humphrey’s weak finances. His wealth has been an orchestrated game of play acting.

Knowing the details we have learned thus far, Doc Danfield knows who the thief is, and promises to have the pendant returned.

Miss Fairfax is doubtful, but her brainy boss refuses to change his story that he knows who the criminal is. Confrontations are in store. Accusations are flung. Smoke screens are up. But Dan can’t be distracted as he tells the true story.

Back in the office, and after the dry facts are dished out, Rusty Fairfax tries to appeal to Dan’s human side. will he notice her amourous attentions? If this were an episode of the Cisco Kid, I’d have to apend a mushy stuff alert here.
