Today Bill and Jingles get ready to cut loose and do some partying. The barn dance is about to start. News about a released prisoner casts a cloud over the festivities for Bill and Jingles. It involves an outlaw who was put behind bars for bank robbery at the hand of Wild Bill.

Is there anything to worry over? Next day, Jingles talks a little about the fun they managed to have the previous night. As they ride along, Bil and Jingles are caught in an ambush. The ambushers either wern’t very smart or very good at ambushing. They shoot and leave. All they leave behind is a message of revenge on Wild Bill.

Back in town, there’s more word about revenge that’s brewing for Bill. Wild Bill and Jingles see the released outlaw, and confront him on his activities. Bill holds no grudge toward the man. His attitude is that he is a man who paid for his crime, and the matter is done. Jimmy seems to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder though, with our hero, but it seems plain that he has an alibi and is trying to go straight.

Suddenly the fire alarm is sounded and the old deputy is found dead. Townfolk begin to poit the blame at Jimmy, but did he do it? Bill rides off to ask him about it. Jimmy is defensive at being blamed, but at least one person from town is sticking by him, and giving him a chance. According to the law Bill feels he has to lock Jimmy up as a suspect. An act that could actually work in the reformed man’s case.

The townsfolk are driven to a frenzy and want justice, Though there’s some circumstantial evidence toward that matter, bill thiks all the evidence isn’t quite in yet.

A clue from that first ambush sets Bill onto the real bad guy. Rough justice is dished out, and Jimmy gets his second chance afterall.
