Superman – Emerald Of The Incas, Part 3. 400405.
When last we saw Clark he was with Elsie Beacham at Stone mansion. Though she had previously begged him not to be left alone, Clark once again leaves her by herself. As Elsie waits downstairs, Clark goes to investigate footsteps upstairs.
Suspenseful moments tick by as Clark sneaks along the house, all the while hearing odd sounds. He’s certain there’s somebody behind a locked door and calls out to him. It’s Professer Beacham, and the doc is threatening as he warns Clark away.
Suddenly, they hear a scream and rushing downstairs, they find Elsie is missing. Clark sends the prof inside to keep searching to make sure Elsie isn’t just hiding somewhere.
as Superman, he flies over the grounds. Could the captor be the giant of a man he dealt with in earlier episodes? Superman spots a lone man in a car.
In questioning the driver, he learns it was a couple of small brown men that hired him, but once he dropped them off, he doesn’t know anything further about them. After all the information is extracted during a harrowing flight through the night sky, Superman flies back to Stone House with the driver.
In a moment that seems out of character, Superman changes back to Clark right before the driver’s eyes, giving away his secret identity. The driver is threatened to keep the secret with another wild flight through the air. Hmm… since Superman’s identity has been a closely guarded secret through the ages, I smell a quick demise for this guy.
In the house it doesn’t take long before the little brown men attack, so the thre men lock themselves inside. The prof is worried about the two brown men. He recognizes the fact that they have a blow gun, and the darts are deadly at the smallest nick of the skin. Clark is certain they don’t have the girl, and because they’re attacking, they still don’t have what they’re looking for. Clark demands the prof tel him what the little brown men want.
The driver is the first to be hit. Ha! I thought so. The doctor is hit by a dart, but will he have time to come clean with Clark before he falls prey to paralysis?
The doc claims that he has a syrum, but can Clark administer it in time? The prof tells about a sacred emerald of the Incas that may save the whole human race. What is this emerald? Where is Elsie Beacham? Find out in the next exciting installment of Superman.
