Let’s Pretend – Drake’s Tale. 521213

A fairy sitting on a flower blossom, with her wings spread out and a wand in her hand. The flower is vibrant purple and the fairy has a mischievous smile on her face.

Uncle Bill and the pretenders get ready for another story, and welcomes cards and letters for story requests. Let’s pile into a jet plane, and take off for a flight to storyland.

In a magical land where animals can talk, we learn about a selfish king who refuses to pay his debts. Drake Tail is a duck who never grew to full size. Because he isn’t like the other ducks, he has had to be clever, and has gained a fortune. Will this help the money woes of the kingdom? As the story moves to the home of Drake, we also learn that he is a fair and kind duck, in addition to his shrewdness.

Deciding to collect on the debts owed him, Drake sets off to see the king. Along the way he is joined by fellow travellers who all want to see the king. Will the king be able to toss Drake into jail once he arrives? He’s just a little squirt afterall. All of Drakes friends are tiny critters of the forrest, but by the time he gets to the palace, he has an army of friends, and all with their own gripes against the king.

The king doesn’t know about the hidden friends, and tries in his own way to make short work of Drake, in luding shoving him down a well, and challenging him to a sword fight. The enterprising duck rises to each challenge with the help of his friends, and finds himself overthrowing the crooked king.
