In the train station Sally expects Jim to meet her, but did he get her telegram? While she waits, she chats with Lemuel, a lonely old man. A phone call to Jim’s office adds to Sally’s worries. Jim isn’t in, and earlier calls prove that he had moved out of his hotel.
Did Jim get fired? Has he run off with a mysterious brunette? Has he fallen into the habit of drinking? Sally fights back the rumors and suspicions.
