A black and white photograph of Jack Benny, a man in a suit and tie, standing against a plain background. He is looking off to the side with a slight smile on his face, and his hands are clasped in front of him. Benny was a comedian and actor, best known for his radio and television shows in the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. The photograph conveys a sense of classic Hollywood glamour and style, with Benny's sharp features and piercing blue eyes on prominent display.

Jack talks to Rochester as they ride downtown for some Christmas shopping. What was Christmas like when Jack was a boy? Mary joins Jack in the store. Jack goes to the credit department to apply for a card. Elsewhere, Dennis is shopping for his parents. Phil sweet talks a Southern belle as he picks up a special gift for Alice. Phil and the band play a peppy tune.

Jack and Mary encounter the race track tout, and Mr Kitzel as they shop for flowers and gifts. The Sportsmen pose as wind up toys to sing the sponsor’s message.

Elliot Lewis is the loud salesman at the perfume counter. Mel Blanc is the crazed salesman who goes off the deep end after remembering his ordeal last year when Jack tried to buy shoe laces.

To close the show, Dennis sings a Christmas medley that includes: O Little Town of Bethlehem,
