The atomic fuel cell has been stolen and leaves Clark and the professor to wonder what to do next. The clock is ticking towards the time for the Daily Planet to be blown up.
The Yellow Mask has managed to kidnap Lois, and takes her along as he finishes his plan to blow up the newspaper building. Meanwhile, Clark shares with the professor about how he had been betrayed, then takes off as Superman to pursue the Yellow Mask. With the bomb threat, amazingly Perry White is in the middle of a building full of reporters, working on the story rather than evacuating.
Clark rushes in with a last warning, and desperately continues his quest for the Yellow Mask. Can he intercept the airplaine in time? Can he somehow block the atomic ray? Can he do that and rescue Lois at the same time? Those reporters sure must be either dedicated, trusting, or just ignorant of their danger because there is only three minutes left, and theyare all still busily working on getting the news out. Personally, I vote for them just being stupid.
When Lois is shoved from the plane, Superman has all the challenge he can handle to catch her, and stop the Yellow Mask. Somehow he manages it though.
clark’s story for Perry and that of Lois don’t match, and Clark suggests a story of a man in a red and blue suit is ridiculous. To wrap up, the plane had crashed, there’s no sign of the atomic machine that survived, and no sign of the Yellow Mask. But there’s no time to sit still when the next story is phoned into the Daly Planet. So stay tuned for the next exciting story to begin.
