Actually an episode of Mystery Playhouse as presented on Armed Forces Radio Service.

The master of a manor, Lord Lebanon, shares some troubles he is having with his house guests, family, and employees of the house. Will the police find it worthy of getting involved for protection to prevent something dire from happening?

The Scotland Yard Inspector pays a visit to meet the quirky inhabitants of the castle, especially when he needs to investigate the matter of the strangled chauffeur. As he makes the rounds, another murder takes place. An overbearing mom, sneaky characters, signs that evidence was tampered with, and plenty of things to raise flags to the inspector. In fact, he already claims to know who the killer is, all he needs is to get the hard proof to close the case.

Join the drama in the unfolding case as skeletons are drawn from closets, and dirty family secrets are revealed. It’s a story that seems to prove that wealth and royalty are no security for a life happily ever after, and even the upper crust can be as disfunctional as anybody else. With the pressure turned up, frazzled nerves force the killers hand in a dramatic scene of revelation, and gunplay.

Afterward, Peter Lorre presents a teaser for an upcoming mystery featuring Nick and Nora charles, The Thinman. The scene sets up a situation of danger involving classical music, a wisecracking young friend, and of course a corpse.
