Fibber McGee and Molly – Treasure Map. ep462, 460115

A black and white photograph of Fibber McGee and Molly, a couple from a popular radio show of the same name. They are standing in front of a closet that has been opened, with clothes and other items spilling out onto the floor. Fibber is holding a mop and wearing an apron, while Molly looks on with a smile on her face. The overall effect is one of humor and domesticity, with the couple's playful antics and cluttered living space providing a snapshot of life in mid-century America in 1948.

After 3 years in the Navy, Bill Thompson returns as Wallace Wimple. Molly sent Fibber to the library for a book on flowers, only to have him return with a few murder mystery books. Fibber’s intrigue turns to excitement when he finds a treasure map hidden between the pages of his book. Molly is less enthusiastic though. Mrs Carstairs visits, and affirms that the landmark on the map is on her property, before telling about doing some bird watching. Could it be that Millicent Carstairs does indeed have a pirate as an ancestor? Billy Mills plays, The Bells of St Mary.

Doc Gamble visits for verbal sparring over Fibbers well being. What will the doc have to say at Fibbers buried treasure?

Mayor Latrivia learns of Fibbers secret, but the discussion turns to sailing cat boats near New Orleans. The Kingsmen sing, Hubba Hubba Hubba.

As the hour grows late, and Fibber is prepared to sneak off under cover of darkness to find his treasure, Wallace Wimple enters. He tells about his homecoming, and exploits during his time in the military. Has his absence made Sweetie Face grow softer toward him? Nah! Fibber sets out, but will his treasure be what he expected?
