Jack Benny – From St Albans Naval Hospital In New York. 450204

Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone on the set of their radio show in 1942.

The Naval hospital is another base near New York. Jack brags about being from Waukegan, and his education. Being a Naval base, he also jokes about being drafted into the Navy. In the last war, of course. Phil enters to joke about Navy doctors.

Larry Stevens sings, Irish Lullabye. Mary enters to tell about kissing the sailors. Jack and the gang plug his latest film, Hollywood Canteen, but Jack ends up in flashbvack mode to relive his disastrous evening the day before.

Rochester helps Jack with his bvath, and getting dresseds. When Mary stops in Rochester tells her about his new girlfriend. Phil plays some travelling music, and we find Jack with Mary at the theater where he brags some more about his movie. Fred Allen and Portland Hoffa make their appearance to heckle Jack.

Get ready for a faceoff inside the theater. Will a fight break out? It’s just not going Jack’s way tonight. In epilog, Jack supports the new rationing changes.
