A bar fight is broken up by Sgt Preston who finds a knife wielding woman at its core. Charlie is only defending herself, proving she can hold her own against the rough cases in the Yukon. Will she heed the advice of Preston to not take the law into her own hands if Barlowe should return to make trouble for her?
When Barlowe turns up murdered, will Sam take the fall for the crime in Charlie’s place? Not jumping to any conclusions, Preston and King examine the clues as objectively as possible as they head down the trail of the real killer.
Preston drinks some drugged coffee intended for someone else, and is soon out of commission. In the meantime, Charlie uncovers who is behind the murder, and the mystery is in the open. It doesn’t stop her from putting her knife to use in a fight against a friend who betrayed both her and Sam. Will Charlie abandon Sam to save her skin from taking the blame for the murder? Will Preston wake up in time to ensure justice is carried out?
He’s sure to be fighting mad when he learns the source of that drugged coffee, and King even helps to take down the bad guy.
