A scam is afoot. A man runs ads to lure women into marriage. Just before going through with it, he claims he has to leave town on business, and leaves the gals high and dry, and with an empty bank account.
A description of the man is known, and Joe heads out to interview some of the men in the lonely hearts club. One by one the innocent are filtered out, and it won’t take long to confront the bad guy.
The confidence man is identified, but due to a loophole, he’s back on the streets. He may be free for now, but habitual crooks like him don’t change their ways, and when fresh scams are reported, Friday has him for grand theft.
