On a sunny Saturday morning in Riverdale, Mary Andrews works in the kitchen. She has a picnic all planned, but Fred Andrews is starving right now. Archie is just a little too eager, but dad caves in and agrees to go. Betty pops in, is chatty, and wants to go for a swim. Her bubble is burst though, when Archie bows out of the swim for his picnic.
The family set out for their remote picnicgrounds, and Fred is looking forward to a quiet day, far from distractions. His peace doesn’t last long when Jughead makes an appearance. No worries, there’s plenty of food. That doesn’t seem to be the most pressing trouble. First Jughead spots a raging bull, then the weather turns bad. What else can go wrong? In the world of Archie Andrews, plenty. I don’t want to spoil all the surprises.
Will the andrews ever get to enjoy their picnic? Just when Archie has had an accident, and is picnicking in the nude, Veronica arrives, followed by Betty. Fred’s peace and quiet is soon broken and chaos reigns among the teenagers as they all clash with nature. The final disaster comes from a little snafu from mom.
