In the kitchen at the Andrews home, Mary gets breakfast ready for Fred. Dad’s a little groggy after their late night party. Archie isn’t doing so well himself. Doctor mom declares that Archie has a cold, but he’s in denial, claiming he just neneds more sleep. Dad hates to see Archie be sick, but it means that he’ll have some quiet
time to read his newspaper, right after he phones for a doctor.
The doctor is out, but Jughead drops in to torment dad. Of course Jughead doesn’t want to get too close to Archie and catch his cold, so he and Archie shout through the house, giving dad a headache. The phone ringsd to break dad’s peace. Veronica is on the phone, and after more shouting through the house, messages are relayed to the sick but still giggly Archie. Mom phones Betty to have her bring over a vaporizer to help out with the sick Archie.
The show announcer pops in for a commercial. The commercial has made dad hungry, but his lunch will have to wait until Betty and mom take that vaporizer upstairs.
Betty phones for her doctor, but he isn’t in the office either. The door bell rings and Veronica joins the fun in person. Now Veronica wants to use the phone to call her doctor, but he’s out of the office too. Suddenly dad is disturbed by an unusual odor, and thinks its from Jughead. The gals all tend to Archie, and his smelly vaporizer, then the doorbell rings.
The doctor finally arrives and thinks it’s dad who is sick. After being poked and prodded, dad sends the doc to Archie. The doorbell rings again, and another doctor enters, then another. The doctors are all bent out of shape over the mass consultations, and ego trips abound. Soon chaos reigns, but dad manages to get control. The prognosis is that nobody is sick afterall, and dad just wants Archie to leave, and go out with his friends.
