As part of the Jack Benny program, Phil is to travel with the cast to visit New York. He can’t take Frankie or the rest of the family without paying their way. Remley wants to go so badly that he visits a pawn shop to see what he might hock. Back in the Harris home, Alice and Willie discuss the upcoming trip, and mistake his extra ticket as one for Alice. What lengths will the jealous Frankie go to to go with Phil on his trip? What further mishaps can pop up to block Frankie from being included?
The mix ups escalate until the whole family is going, except Frankie. Is there any hope for him? There’s still room for Julius to stop in to lend his hand to Frankie’s desperate prank to win Alice’s sympathies. Somehow the timing of their plan isn’t right, and Alice can’t believe that Frankie actually shot himself. Listen in to see who makes it on the New York trip.
PS: There’s a posibility I have the wrong date on this. It may have aired on Feb 5, 1950 instead of Jan 29 as I list it.
