A deaf woman is in need of George’s help. He and Clair Brooks go to the woman’s house where they find her enjoying records. Dora’s sister, Cyndthia, fills George in about their past, a little about how Dora lost her hearing, and how she can enjoy her records from the vibrations of the rhythm. Is there someone who wants to kill Dora, and why? George continues to meet the players in the story to figure it all out.
When murder makes its appearance, and Dora is found drowned near a waterfall, George stirs up trouble. Has there been jealousy between the two sisters? With all the players upset, and accused by George, he sets about digging for facts. Dora isn’t the only deaf person in the story, and some creative production techniques are in place as George and Brooksie write notes to the deaf boyfriend. George manages to put the finger on the killer, and see through some lies. All he needs to do now is spring his trap.
