Lum and Abner – No Christmas Presents for Lum. 471222

Two men dressed in traditional Hawaiian attire, Lum and Abner, are seen mid-dance in the center of a small store. Lum, on the left, is playing a ukulele while Abner on the right is swaying his hips and waving his arms. A small crowd is gathered around them, some clapping and others smiling. The store itself is cluttered with various items, including shelves of canned goods and hanging clothes, giving it a cozy and lived-in feel.

Wether out of bashfulness, politeness, or false modesty, Lum has told everyone not to get hima Christmas gift, but as he talks to everybody, he fishes for what they may be giving him. Will people get the hint that he actually wants gifts? US Quincy has an OK visit, then grandpap enters to tell aboutt the holiday celebration that he and aunt Charity have planned.

The gents all have a look at the wish book to get an idea for last moment shopping ideas before grandpap heads to the county seat to shoot the works on the holiday. As they thumb through the pages, will Abner get lums hint as he tries to act coy about recieving a gift?

Ben Withers arrives to distract the gang with news about the people he knows, and their Christmas activities. Still trying to drop hints to Abner, Lum declares that he’ll throw a big Christmas party as well. Will Abbner get it? Or will he just be more confused by Lum’s curious behavior?
