Harry Bartell slips from his role as sponsor pitch man, to interviewer of the famous Gregory Hood and his tallented sidekick, Sanders. He then follows them from the plush San Francisco penthouse, to the adventure unfolding on the streets. How did their victim die? was it gun shut, jumping from the bridge, or poisoning? Dr. Arnold claims it was a fatal stab wound.

The unsatisfied detectives continue on the path that leads to a dame. After she steals their car, Gregory takes his embarrassing story to the cops. With all his evidence gone, all Gregory has to go on is the few items from the dead man’s pockets. Where will the three pesos lead them?

At first the coins seem counterfeit, until Gregory discovers their connection to drug smuggling. Will the cops lend a hand in figuring the case out? Gregory winds up in a jail cell, but is set free once he finds more clues. Comparing notes with the cops, Gregory is able to unravel the mystery to expose the killer. Danger doesn’t stop. The rat is cornered in his hole.

The twists don’t end right up to turning the killers over to the cops.
