The tale of two kids of about a hundred years earlier. Shirley narrates the scene at Christmas time, and finding a bluebird which she takes home. Will the girl realize how much she has to be grateful for? War breaks out, and her father answers his call to duty and is taken from the selfish child.

When her bluebird has escaped, a fairy comes to helpp the girl find the bluebird of happiness. A trip to her past is in store. But why does it start in a graveyard? An elderly couple set out to celebrate Easter. Will she find her bluebird among the old man’s collection of carved birds and whistles?

Shirley sings, Lady Oh.

The girl leaves the past behind, and on to visit Mr. and Mrs. Luxury, and the place where babieswait to be born. She explains how she finally found her bluebire.

Nelson Eddie joins her in singing, Silent Night.
