Money troubles plague Richard Diamond and he tells how it all started with a seance. Of course it’s a scam, isn’t it always? There’s no law that prevents people from believing what they like, or in spending their hard earned money on what ever pursuits they like. However, a young woman who stands to inherit her aunts money, hires Dick Diamond to do what he can to put a stop to pouring more of her inheritance into the seance scam. Richard sets up his own little scam to catch the scammers, but first a little romance with his favorite red head, Hellen.

The harmless scam gets serious when a body makes an appearance in the scene. Aunt Van Dyke is dead, but is it because the seance scammers were upset at losing a prime source of cash flow? Who stands to inherit the estate, and the Van Dyke jewels? Richard gets a thump on the head for his efforts, and he wakes up to find his suspect dead.

Bullets fly, but the truth is revealed. Dick is hot on the heels of the real killer, and it shouldn’t be too big of a surprise. He explains how he put the clues together, then spends an evening of romance and crooning with Hellen.
