Jack Benny – Recovering From A Cold. 491016

In recent episodes, Jack has had a memory loss, and in a fit of generosity and on a spending spree he put a down payment on a yacht. Now he can’t get out of the deal, and worries over it with Rochester.

Jack also has a cold, and is being nursed back to health by his friends. The nurse arrives and jokes about helth, and about Jack’s physique. Phil phones in to poke some fun at Jack as they talk about the band. Don is worried that the Sportsmen will catch Jack’s cold, but they sing over the phone a version of, Take Care of Yourself.

Getting back to Jack’s cold, he proves to be a difficult patient for the nurse and his friends. Dennis Day arrives and talks crazy talk about his clothes, and his latest antics at home. Dennis tries to cheer up Jack by singing, Roll Around Heaven All Day.

Finally, the yacht salesman phones to let Jack off the hook. Jack’s relief is soon ended when his physician, Doctor Frank Nelson arrives for more medical jokes, and tormenting Jack. Through a mishap, Jack learns he still is liable for his yacht.
