There’s a Costume party that Fibber is dressed up to attend. He’s in a prisoner’s outfit, but when his cab has a blow out he’s forced to walk the rest of the way. The disguise of a convict has everyone he meets misunderstanding who he is. Things get worse when even a cop thinks Fibber has escaped. Kingsmen sing, Beautiful Changes.

Fibber lands in a courtroom, where he has to explain himself. Isn’t there anybody who Fibber can call on to identify him? Still, Fibber has to spend some time in a jail cell with Boomer. Through his ordeal, Fibber also encounters the Old Timer, and even Mrs Uppington. Donald Novus sings, The Harbor Where Dreams Come True.

Later, fibber comes across everybodys favorite Greek immigrant, Nick Dapopolus, who talks about King Arthur. It takes his friend Gildersleeve, dressed as a cop to get Fibber to his party.

PS: Another show without Molly. There’s no real explanation as to why Molly was missing from this run of their shows The show was still being broadcast out of Chicago, it would only be a guess on my part to say she was suffering from stress, or a work relationship. Some have speculated that her absence was related to recovery from alcohol abuse, but if so, it was a closely guarded secret that even family members were unaware of. Maybe she just wanted some time off. In upcoming months Molly would return, and stay with the show through the years to come.
