The next big insurance investigation takes Johnny to the exotic animals of a circus. The fear is that someone might try to steal the animals away for their own show, especially the valuable black leopard. Tex Randall is an animal trainer. The new black leopard is fearsome enough to have Johnny petrified, even with the bars of the cage between them. Angela is the daughter of the show owner, and shares a little with Johnny as they plan where to go on a date.
Suddenly the animals and natives alike, are restless, and Johnny gets thumped on the head.
When Johnny wakes up he finds a body that he reports to the cops. The snooping Johnny finds a missing leopard, and clues that let on that something isn’t quite right about Sandro and his daughter. Is Angela trying to steal the big cat, or protect it? Is she the killer, or someone else? Does Johnny really know where the leopard is, or just bluffing with his life at stake?
