Lum thinks that Abner needs to mind his own business, but when he leaves, Abner confides his fears to Dick that he thinks Lum is a murderer.

Cedric enters with disturbing news that plays into Abner’s worst fear. Can it be true? Will Abner be forced to arrest Lum?

Lum has to defend himself by trying to explain to Abner that what he did wasn’t kidnapping. What charge can Abner use against Lum, and why won’t Lum help him out in finding a good one? Mr Wilson has been found and released, but Lum rushes out before the detective can confront him. Has Mr Wilson finally uncovered the crime? Is he ready to act?
