Still stranded in Hollywood, Lum and Abner can’t seem to get train tickets, or find any other transportation out of town. Lum has found another newspaper ad to share a ride back home. They may have to sign on with sharecroppers to pick cotton, if it’ll work out for them.
Instead, Lum gets a deal on a bus ticket to get to Arkansas. Too bad the towns the bus goes to aren’t the ones that Lum recognizes. It’s just a tour bus to see the sights near Hollywood.
What other schemes will Lum come up with to get back home? If he and Abner were hillbillies, they might get on with a travelling hillbilly band. Are they just too citified to fit in?
Will the gents ever get out of the big city? What kind of fuss will Lum need to raise to get himself home?
