After the mix up with the hat contest in Hollywood, radio host, Tom Breneman tried to cheer up Lum and Abner. To make up for the misunderstanding, Tom invited them to visit his show, and helped in getting train tickets back home. At the ticket window, there’s still some snags in getting transportation. It might take some special string pulling in these days of busy travel. Good thing Tom has his special friend to get them a deal on the tickets. Or is it?
In getting the run around, Lum and Abner bounce from one shady agent to another on a quest for tickets. Instead, they end up with a car tire, and a lot more blown smoke, but no tickets.
Note: Guest voice is Tom Breneman, I think. He’ll continue to appear in the next few episodes in various parts.
