After selling his car, Lum now has a windfall of money. What does he have planned to do with it? Let’s visit Pine Ridge and find out.
Lum promises Abner that he’s going to pay off the bill at the wholesaler, and play it safe. He’s going to put the money in the bank and steer clear of any new business investments. Squire enters, but holds no hard feelings over his lost bet with Lum. Instead, he drops a hint about a business opportunity that temps Lum.

The word about the nation wide concession for selling popcorn to the television watchers in the country is too much for Lum to resist. I hope Abner can put a stop to Lum’s temptation.
