Candy Matson, former fashion model now earns her living chasing after the who done it mysteries as a private investigator. Today she receives threats to leave the case of the Cable Car Murder alone. The trouble is that she has gotten herself entangled in it already.
It all went down while she was riding the cable car that day. Candy calls on her dutiful friend, artist, and recovering alcoholic, Rembrandt. While he hits his resources to do research, Candy puts her well shaped legs to work to get the word from the streets. She finds the stodgy relatives of the dead man, and agrees to both find the killer, and clear her name as one of the cop’s suspecs. After a long, hard day of work, imagine Candy’s surprise to find someone in her house with all the lights on!
It’s just Rembrandt, and Mallard, Candy’s policeman friend who are waiting for her. Mallard still thinks she’s hiding something, but it takes Candy most of the night to sort through all the evidence Rembrandt has put together for her. Pieces start to fall together, when Candy decides to reenact her cable car ride. Soon more bodies show up, and Candy has it figured out.
In dramatic fashion, she closes in on the killer, avoids death, and turns the case over to Mallard.
