Vic and Sade – Mr Sludge To Sleep Overnight. 400617

Art VanHarvey, Bernardine Flynn, Paul Rhimer, and Bill Eidleson

In the house halfway up the next block, Rush reads from his 3rd Lt Stanley novel. He describes a scene of romantic adventure until Sade has had enough and breaks out with letting Vic know that she invited Mr Sludge to spend the night. He’s such a big mama’s boy, and too bashful to spend the night alone.

After Sade talks with the timid man on the phone, Rush goes back to a swashbuckling passage in his book. The scene alternates between calls from the timid, bashful caller, and Rush reading about the brave 3rd Lt Stanley. What a contrast. Eventually, Rush agrees to go to walk the nervous Mr Sludge over when Vic is just too disgusted to do it.
