The cold and flu season is mostly over, but Fibber is feeling the affects of having no pep. Does his troubles lay at the feet of uncle Dennis? Mirt the phone operator perks Fibber up, but Doc Gamble is out of his office. Abigail Uppington pops in, but her home remedy can’t help with Fibber’s symptoms. Billy Mills plays a smooth jazz tune.

Molly gets her chance to ask Mirt about every little thing, and about her cousin. Old Timer has heard about Fibber feeling down, and visits with an old family cure. Fibber and Molly get themselves confused over words, then Harlowe Wilcox turns the topic of ailments into the sponsor message. Harlowe also gives a shout out to radio station WOW, for their 20th year on the air.

As Molly steps out, Teeny pops in. Maybe a story about how the tiger got his stripes will cheer Fibber up. Too bad she’s not falling for that malarky. The Kingsmen sing, Oceana Roll.
Doc Gamble finally arrives. Before he can declare Fibber anything else, but extremely healthy, Wallace Wimple visits. From his description of the latest go around with his big old wife, Sweetie Face, Doc’s services may be better used at his house instead. Will Fibber ever get diagnosed?

Note: Though Arthur Q Brian has been on the show before, I think this is his first appearance as Doc Gamble. His signature bickering with Fibber will show up on his next appearance.
