Now that Squire Skimp wants to be Abner’s campaign manager, it puts a kink in Lum’s plan to be the silent boss. Using the handle of, the Big Wheel, Lum still plans on running the show as the unseen, unheard political boss. Abner thinks it sounds like something out of a comic book but plays along.
On the phone to Squire, Abner tries to reveal the presence of the Big Wheel. Cedric enters, but is confused over Mr. Wheeler who called him to come over to the store With a mask on.
Can Lum fool Cedric? As the Big Wheel, Lum swears Cedric to secrecy and appoints him as the Ward Heeler in the broom party. Just one thing… Cedric wants to know if he can wear a mask, just like Lum is doing.
