An important letter is expected, and it has Fibber worried. Will Fibber actually be drafted into some kind of war work? The mail man turns out to be a mail lady. A nod to the growing number of women replacing men in the workplace. And of course, the target of some joking around. Fibber reads the letter he gets, and the list of much needed trades the military needs. The Old Timer pops in with his own news of wedding bells. Billy Mills plays a smooth swing number.

Is Fibber qualified to do any of those Jobs? He certainly is motivated to do his part. Molly gets a complaint over the phone from Abigail Uppington. What has Fibber done in his excitement to support the war? Harlowe Wilcox visits to put the support for the war effort into pitching the sponsor product.

A surprise visit from Mayor Latrivia with a report on how military life is treating him. Confusion sets in on his furlough, or is that his furlong, or maybe it was something about a horse, or maybe it’ll just end up with a classic slow burn. The Kingsmen sing, Mcnamara’s Ball.
