Lum and Abner – Squire Sells Lum And Abner Some Insurance. 460109

Chet Lauck and Norris Goff wearing a suit and tie smiling at the camera. Sitting in front of a radio microphone, one holding a script and the other adjusting his glasses -

Lum convinced grandpap he overcharged them in interest, and grandpap fled the store, not asking for any, Lum later felt bad for the trick and insisted on repaying him something, which left $90 for the gents to split. Abner decides he should spend a few bucks on his wife, though Lum gets onto him for his frivolous purchase.

It doesn’t take much time before Squire tracks down the gents for the purchase of insurance. Lum shuts him down, letting him know they don’t have as much of their reward money left after paying their debts.

With someone as slick as Squire, will he still squeeze a few dollars out of the gents for insurance? He mistakes Lum’s old clothes that he’s taking to be patched up for donations for sending to the needy overseas. Now, what about that insurance sale? A loss of partner policy sounds good to protect the one, wif the other should die.
